Abilisoft to Replace Incumbent Software Supplier after Proving Cost and Operational Efficiencies

Bedfordshire, UK - a provider of innovative monitoring technology, today announced that a large British service provider has replaced its legacy Netcool OMNIbus ObjectServer and System X probes for a new and streamlined solution from Abilisoft.

The service provider selected Abilisoft for two key reasons. Firstly, it was keen to extend the operational life of its existing infrastructure, and the supplier was not investing in updating or evolving the software. Secondly, the service provider was concerned that the incumbent software supplier had made changes to the licensing agreement, which was pushing up the cost of year-on-year support and maintenance.

The service provider decided that it would be more cost effective and more operationally efficient to manage and monitor the System X switches via a dedicated monitoring solution, specific to their switch environment. The service provider selected Abilisoft's technology, and deployed Abilisoft probes to proactively gather, consolidate and feed critical System X data into Abilisoft Enterprise; a management server and console.
